Welcome to my Music Diary – today for the 5th September.
In 1946 Mr. Farrok Bulsara alias Freddie Mercury was born in Sansibar. In 1964 he moved with his family to England. Mercury began his music career as a singer for the band Wreckage and later he became a solo artist under the name Larry Lurex. In 1970 he founded with Brian May and Roger Taylor the band Queen. One year later bass player John Deacon completed the legendary line up. Mercury composed the classics „Killer Queen„, „Bohemian Rhapsody„, „We are the Champions„, „Don’t stop me now„, „Crazy little Thing called Love“ and „Body Language„.
Freddie Merucry was one of the most outstanding and charismatic singers/performers in Rock history. He died on the 24th November 1991 at the age of only 45 years in London.
